A very traditional group from La Vega are "Los Magoyos". "Los Magoyos" were born in 1996 integrated by the Holguin-Guzman family. This group is well known and respected in the city of La Vega because all of their members are local. Each year, this family offers visitors of the carnival an unforgettable experience. Within the cave, which is the site where they start, the audience can find an atmosphere of joy, good music, food and drink.
The group of "Los Magoyos" has an integration of 35 people, ages from 1 to 65 years old. Although their costumes vary year to year they always use bright colors and striking masks, thereby drawing the attention of all the viewers in the carnival.
